Chris Pinard is owner and designer of European Gardens. He was born and raised in the South of France surrounded by Mediterranean plants and trees. Chris started designing landscapes for friends and family at a young age and that passion never left him.
He has lived in the Carolinas for about twenty years, and found out through trial and error that a majority of the Mediterranean plants he knew and loved were adapted to the climate of the Carolinas.
Now based out of York, SC, Chris grows over 2000 Mediterranean plants and trees on his own property which is a great example of a Mediterranean garden thriving in this area.
Each design is created with sustainability in mind, and can range in style from Native to French, to English, Asian or Mediterranean. Check out our Gallery!
Unlike most nursery/garden center based landscape designers, we do not create our designs according to the plant materials we produce or have in stock, which gives us the opportunity to be more creative and unique, and to design a garden that truly reflects your personality and desires.
We cover the greater Charlotte (NC) and greater Rock Hill (SC) areas. Please inquire if you live in a different location.
